We routinely carry out lighting reports for An Gardai Siochana in software and on the ground with a lux meter in relation to fatal accidents. In the past two months I have also compiled or adjudicated on reports for Northlink on the M1 Motorway, Egis Lagan on the N40 and further junctions on the M7. Also Dublin Toll Plaza for Egis Road & Tunnel Operation Ireland.
Last year Molloy Consulting Engineers designed and oversaw construction of pedestrian walks/cycleways for CCC from Curraheen Road to Carrigrohane Road, a project encompassing a 5km stretch of walk, 116 no. lights and 8 feeding points. In 2021 also completed Magazine Road to Glasheen Road cycleway for CCC. This year I’ve designed a 5km cycleway from University of Limerick to Annacotty for Ryan Hanley Consultants, and a 2km community walkway in Clarecastle, Co. Clare. I’ve recently been appointed to design a 6.5km track for Waterford Institute of Technology.
We’ve had a part in writing lighting specifications for other counties and am very familiar with completing projects in line with this particular specification, and all the standards it references. I submit multiple private developer lighting designs to the Public Lighting Office every year, and meet with their staff on site, as part of a long standing working relationship.
